Mumbai March 21

The board of directors of Great Offshore Ltd, which met here on Wednesday, has resolved to re-appoint Mr Vijay K Sheth as the company's Managing Director. Great Offshore is the new entity that was born out of the demerger of Great Eastern Shipping's offshore business. The board's decision ends speculation that other members of the Sheth family were trying to replace Mr Vijay Sheth with a professional in the offshore services space. The company's board also declared an interim dividend of Rs 8 per share (80 per cent) to its shareholders.
