IBM lab moves to new location

Our Bureau

Bangalore, March 21

IBM India Research Laboratory is expanding in Delhi. Earlier located in the IIT campus, the new facility is now in the Vasant Kunj Institutional Area with more than double the floor space and better infrastructure. It will provide IBM better bandwidth to address the innovation needs of a larger client base worldwide. IRL has a centre in Bangalore.

IRL is focused on information and knowledge management, interaction and collaboration technologies, systems management and high-performance computing. In the last quarter, the lab rolled out Sensei, a Web-based interactive language learning technology; Business Finder - a next-generation, real-time, presence-based mobile resources management technology; and Score/Erocs, an information management technology designed to help HDFC Bank rapidly enhance customer care and identify new business opportunities.
