He said in a press release that 208 entries from 89 estates/bought leaf factories from Anamallais, High Ranges, Nilgiris, Central Travancore, Wayanad and other regions of Karnataka, Nelliampathy, Madurai, Singampatti, Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram and Kanyakumari participated in the first round of this competition held at Coonoor recently.

Teas that have reached the final round of competition will be evaluated by a panel of international jurists on Thursday forenoon. The Union Minister of State for Commerce, Mr Jairam Ramesh, will give away the awards.
