Mumbai March 22 Travellers to the United Kingdom from India can avail services of Singapore-based IntegraScreen, an international provider for document and information services, for visa verification. The company has been authorised by the British High Commission to extend the facility. The High Commission's commercial partner, VFS, will collect and dispatch the visa applications. Those who wish to use the service, which is not compulsory, should first complete the form available with VFS or at ukvisas.integrascreen.com. They can submit it with photocopies of supporting documents to any VFS application centre.
Verification Fee
For those who wish to go to the UK on a temporary basis (students or on a highly skilled migration programme) the verification fee is Rs 5,900 and for persons who wish to go there permanently it is Rs 10,800. These charges are non-refundable and in addition to the visa fee. The services are not for tourist or short duration visits. Mr Yogesh Bhura, Director, IntegraScreen Services, Mumbai, said the UK visa departments in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata would give priority to applications verified by IntegraScreen. The company provides identical services in the UAE, where it was compulsory, he said. According to Mandy Ivemy, Director, Visa Services for India, the programme will benefit the British High Commission, India, in ensuring that documents produced in support of visa applications are genuine.
