Think London plans offices in India

K.R. Srivats

London March 22 Think London, inward investment promotion agency, plans to open two offices in India in November this year.

"We will have a main office in Mumbai were we will have a chief representative. The other office will be in Delhi," Mr Michael Gourlay, Director, Asia-Pacific, Europe & Africa said. These would be the fourth and fifth overseas offices for Think London. Both the offices in India are to be opened during the proposed visit of the Mayor of London, Mr Ken Livingstone, in November this year.

Asked about the strategy behind opening offices in India, Mr. Gourlay said it was important for Think London to actively work with the two major economies of the world (India and China).

Think London opened an office in Beijing last year. "London is the most global city in the world. We want to remain that way. Therefore we as a city want to increase engagement with major economies such as India and China," Mr Gourlay said.
