Travel & Places Marketing - Channels and Franchises CIBT plans expansion thru franchise route Our Bureau
Bangalore March 23 CIBT Inc, provider of global travel document services, is set to expand its network through franchise arrangements to cover more than 30 cities this year to extend its professional visa and passport assistance facilities. The company opened its own offices six months ago in Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore, is adopting the franchise route to cover tier two cities, which lacked the expert service.
Travellers growth
With outbound travel expected to reach 7.5 million next year, CIBT decided to accelerate its expansion plans to garner about ten per cent of the market share by next year. Annually, about 3.5 million visas are processed by various foreign missions in the country. CIBT with its modern infrastructure to provide complete service from information to delivery of visas, would be targeting corporates and even travel agencies seeking specialised services for its growth. Mr Gopinath Nair, Senior Vice-President of CIBT India Pvt Ltd, said the company, with a good technology support for quicker and efficient service, hoped to fulfil the unmet demand from corporates looking for an end-to-end services.
`Travel Pass' software
CIBT has customised its propriety software, `Travel Pass' for the Indian market said Mr Nair adding this facility was supported by regular visa and passport information updates and safe storage of the documents to extend an industry level service to its customers. Recognised as the worlds leading visa professional, CIBT offers visa and passport assistance in nine countries.
