Chennai, March 23

US-based Perot Systems has launched its global delivery centre operations in Manila, Philippines. According to a press release, the 200-seat facility will provide knowledge process outsourcing services in the healthcare area to large hospital groups in the US. The facility is capable of handling over five million transactions and over two and a half million calls a year, company officials told Business Line through e-mail.

The company also plans to offer infrastructure services through this facility later this year. "We are still defining the specific services. It is likely that we will provide engineering services in the areas of mainframe, UNIX, network, security and Intel," said Mr Vardhman Jain, Managing Director of Perot Systems' Insurance and Business Process Solutions India, in the release.
