SEBI forms panel on infrastructure funds

Mumbai March 23 The Securities and Exchange Board of India has announced the constitution of a committee to suggest an action plan to frame guidelines for mutual funds to launch and operate in infrastructure funds.

This follows the announcement by the Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, in his Budget speech that mutual funds will be allowed to operate in infrastructure funds in order to promote the flow of investment to the infrastructure sector.
