Airtel offers regional language facility

Bangalore, March 26

Airtel announced it is now offering a regional language application that lets users send messages in the language of their choice. Users can now communicate in four regional languages: Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam as well as in Hindi.

Available in two formats - picture message & unicode, this platform is capable of sending messages in any Indian languages and is very user friendly. Both regional and English contents can be made use of to ensure precision in the communication message. "This service enables us to reach out to them in a language of their choice. We sent out test messages to select customers wishing them a Happy Ugadi and it was a grand success," said Mr Venkatesh V., CEO, Mobile Services, Bharti Airtel Ltd, Karnataka, in a release issued by the company.
