Our Bureau

New Delhi March 27 Kingfisher is in talks with the Delhi Government to bring Formula-1 to the city, the company Chairman, Mr Vijay Mallya, has said.

"We are examining two approaches for bringing F-1 to Delhi. We could look at building a brand new track that would entail heavy investments. The other option, which is less expensive, is to do street races covering the area around Rajpath and Vigyan Bhawan area. Having Formula 1 should help the city. In Malaysia, on race days the city generates an additional $100 million alone, and in addition, it is estimated that more than 500 million people view the races globally," he said.
