Mir Realtors plans township

Thiruvananthapuram March 28 Mir Realtors is setting up a township in the State capital, which is its second such project in Kerala.

Styled `Greens', the township will be spread over 11 acres at Karakulam near Peroorkada in the city. It will feature 360 dwelling units, comprising villas and flats.

Mr K. Arun Kumar, Managing Director of the company, said that the project, estimated to cost Rs 150 crore, would be completed within three years.

A few luxury villas, with independent swimming pool and garden, will cost around Rs 1 crore.

The first township project of the Mir group was launched at Kakkanad near Kochi in 2005. Spread over six acres, the township has more than 400 dwelling units. It will also have the tallest tower in south India with 32 floors, which has received height clearance from the civil aviation authorities.

Mr Arun Kumar said that Mir townships have almost 50 per cent open area with lush greenery. They also have other modern amenities such as supermarket, doctor's clinic, business centre, home theatre, amphitheatre, day-care centre and multi-gym.

Mir group has presence in diversified sectors such as tourism, biotechnology, international trading, herbal products and project management and consultancy. Mir Realtors is planning to set up townships in cities such as Kozhikode, Kottayam, Coimbatore and Mangalore.
