Mumbai March 28 The Kuoni Travel Group is to offer Marhaba's passenger assistance services to its customers transiting and travelling via Dubai. Dnata, the travel management services company in the UAE, has partnered with Kuoni Travel to sell the service for Indian customers, said a press statement.

"The service will be implemented by the first week of April," said Mr Ismail Ali Albanna, Executive Vice-President, Dnata.

The services, costing between $20-25, offered by Marhaba include assistance with immigration and customs clearance and CityStop packages for transit passengers.

Cost of service

The cost of transit services would be higher depending on the time of transit and the category of hotel selected.

Marhaba services will be distributed through the Kuoni distribution network, which includes SOTC and Kuoni Holidays comprising about 250 sales outlets, owned and franchised.

Mr Zubin Karkaria, Chief Executive Officer of Kuoni India and South Asia, said, "India's booming economy is fuelling a rapid increase in international travel and bringing many first time travellers.

Marhaba offers service to first-time travellers who are unfamiliar with the local language and airport procedures.

It assists passengers end-to-end through airport formalities until hotel check-in."
