Software Vitage sets up remote centre Our Bureau
Bangalore March 29 Vitage Technologies has set up a centre for remote delivery of its Business Services Management (BSM) operations in Bangalore. Entailing an initial cumulative investment of close to Rs 15 crore, the centre is capable of remote managing large volume of nodes and delivers services round the clock. "The centre will eliminate the need for our customers to maintain in-house expertise besides cutting their IT operational costs significantly. Applications management, which is crucial for IT systems to deliver business performance, is left out of the ambit of offering of most existing players which we see as a big opportunity for us to fulfil,'' said Mr Rangarajan P., CEO, Vitage Technologies. The centre uses high-end tools from major vendors such as Adventnet, CA (Unicenter Suite) and Netenrich for remote monitoring and management to support Network, Security, Server, Database, Storage Devices and Applications. In addition, with the requisite physical and electronic access control systems, it will house a training centre and a fully equipped hi-tech data centre. It is also capable of managing large volume of nodes across the globe and delivers services round the clock. The remote centre will enable Vitage to proactively and effectively manage its customer's critical IT assets using BSM processes and technology that ensures high level of availability, security and meets the necessary compliance standards.
