GAIL inks pact for targets

New Delhi, March 29

GAIL (India) Ltd on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding for performance targets for the financial year 2007-08. According to a statement issued by the company, it has targeted transmission of 81.01 MMSCMD of natural gas from domestic sources and through the liquefied natural gas (LNG) route to achieve the `Excellent target' for 2007-08.

This includes the gas marketing target of 70.14 MMSCMD, the company said. The MoU also provides for an `excellent' production target of 3,78,858 MT of polymers (HDPE and LLDPE) and about 12,17,500 MT of liquid hydrocarbons. The MoU was signed by Mr M.S. Srinivasan, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, and Dr U.D. Choubey, Chairman and Managing Director, GAIL.
