Our Bureau

Coimbatore March 30 The Tamil Nadu State Lorry Owners' Federation has decided to support the March 31 bandh call given by the State Government. The federation President, Mr P. Sengodan, in a statement, said lorries would remain off roads between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. tomorrow.

The federation has also decided against plying lorries to Kerala from the midnight of March 31 in support of the indefinite strike call given by the Kerala State Lorry Owners.

"The Kerala Government's ruling on fixation of `speed governors' in all heavy vehicles, be it lorry, tanker or LPG container has come under fire. The operators have decided to keep such vehicles off road from midnight of March 31. We have decided to extend support by not plying our vehicles into Kerala during the strike period," he said.
