SRM University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with US-based American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) to set up a Community College under the SRM group of institutions. This also includes student and teacher exchange programmes, a press release said.Community Colleges in the US primarily attract and accept students from the local community and are often supported by the local community through property taxes. According to the press release, SRM University plans to offer five diploma courses such as radiology and clinical law practices and an undergraduate course under the proposed community college starting from the academic year 2007-2008.
