Sabarimala `prasad' by mail

The Department of Posts has entered into a tie-up with the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) for sending `prasad' items from Sabarimala temple to devotees during the Vishu season. Devotees desirous of having the `prasad' mailed to their address anywhere in India will have to send Rs 210 by money order to the Executive Officer of TDB.

The `prasad' will be sent through registered parcel post, according to an official release. Of the amount of Rs 210, Rs 10 would be set apart for providing `annadanam' to pilgrims to the shrine, the release added.
