New Delhi April 2 Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Monday said that it had set a target of 30,000 units for its newly launched Getz Prime, in the domestic market. However, for the European market, where the company claims to have sold this model the most, it is aiming to export 40,000 units from its manufacturing facility in the country. While the earlier model had a 1.3-litre petrol engine, the new version would be available with an engine capacity of 1.1 litres too. Launched at a price starting from Rs 3.89 lakh for the 1.1 petrol engine and going up to Rs 5.24 lakh for the 1.3-litre version, the Getz Prime is likely to be available in a diesel version for the Indian market in the coming months. "The diesel version of has been well accepted in the European market and we plan to introduce it in India in the second half of this year," said Mr Heung Soo Lheem, Managing Director and CEO. He added that the company expected the 1.1-litre version to account for 70 per cent of total domestic sales of the model. The model has fenders, hoods, headlamps, fog lamps, front and rear bumpers and new features such as glove box, armrest for the driver's seat and front console tray. The company is also planning to launch a compact car by the year-end.
