Pollution control awards

The Kerala State Pollution Control Board has invited applications for the State Pollution Control Award 2007. The awardees are selected based on the performance in pollution control during the calendar year 2006. Awards will be given to first, second and third places in the following categories: industries (large, medium and small scale); hospitals (200 or more beds, less than 200 beds); hotels (star hotels and resorts); local body (corporation, municipality, panchayat); and slaughter houses. The first and second prizes will carry cash components of Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively. Application forms are available free of cost from the head, regional and district offices of the board. Last date for receipt of filled in application form in triplicate at the head office at Plamoodu Junction, Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram-695004, is April 16.
