IMPROVING YIELD: A worker spraying pesticide in a cabbage farm near Palani in Tamil Nadu. Availability of high temperature resistant varieties of cabbage and advent of hybrid technology has resulted in cabbage productivity increasing 1.41 times in the last decade. Tamil Nadu tops productivity with 25.5 tonnes a hectare, followed by Kerala with 22.2 tonnes a hectare.
