Electronics BEL profit before tax up 22% Our Bureau
Bangalore April 3 Bharat Electronics Ltd has recorded a provisional 22 per cent growth in profit before tax year on year, at Rs 1,041.6 crore (Rs 855.2 crore) for the year ended March 31, 2007. It posted its highest ever turnover of Rs 3,960.38 crore, which is an increase of 12 per cent over last year's turnover of Rs 3,536 crore. The order book on April 1, was estimated at Rs 9,100 crore. The board is meeting on April 27 to take up fourth quarter results. During 2006-07, the export turnover was $11.6 million.
