Change of guard at CII

Mr Pradeep Dhobale, Divisional Chief Executive of ITC Ltd (Paperboards and Specialty Papers), has taken over as Chairman of CII Andhra Pradesh.
He replaced Mr G. Vivekanand, Managing Director of Visakha Industries, as CII AP's Chairman.
Mr Utpal Sen Gupta, President of Agro Tech Foods Ltd, has been elected the Vice-Chairman of the chamber.
Mr Dhobale and Mr Sen Gupta were elected to the CII posts at the annual meeting of the chamber held here on Wednesday.
Earlier addressing the CII's annual day meet, Dr J Geeta Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Minister for Major Industries, Sugar and Tourism, said the Government was working on the roadmap for State to excel in the manufacturing sector.
"We are targeting at an increase of 10 per cent every year in industrial investments with an objective to reach Rs 17,000 billion by 2010 by promoting rapid growth of market driven, knowledge based, efficient and competitive industrial environment," she said.
"We would like to increase the contribution of the industrial sector to the Gross State Domestic Product from 12.9 per cent to 15 per cent," she said.
