Kerala Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Mr C.K. Divakaran inaugurated the new Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) branch converted from the erstwhile Bharat Overseas Bank (BhOB) branch at Annas Arcade at Spencer Junction here.

This follows the takeover of BhOB by IOB with effect from April 1, as per which existing BhoB branches will start functioning as IOB branches. The Chief Regional Manager and Deputy General Manager, IOB, Mr R. Lakshminarasimhan, presided over the inaugural function.

IOB, the Lead Bank for Thiruvananthapuram district, has 41 branches and four extension counters in the Thiruvananthapuram region (Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts). Across the State, the tally is 129 branches and 13 extension counters.
