Hyderabad April 4 Satyam Computer Services Ltd, on Wednesday announced that it has launched a development centre at Sao Paulo. The Satyam Latam Centre is already providing services for several Brazilian, other South American and global customers. In addition to enabling Satyam to respond to clients' needs with more agility, the new centre would serve as the organisation's South American headquarters. Plans for another centre in Brazil are already under way. Professionals at the centre provide application outsourcing and development, enterprise resource planning software implementation and outsourcing, and infrastructure management services and consulting. The President of Satyam Commercial and Healthcare businesses, Mr Ram Mynampati, in a statement said "establishing a strategic facility in South America complements numerous other Satyam development centres in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and North America. It also reinforces our dedication to the local market." The Chief Information Officer at Invista, Mr Cleitom Amaral Dias, inaugurated the facility today in presence of officials from Camargo Correa, Nestle and Caterpillar. The centre's inauguration coincided with Satyam's hosting of the First Latin American Geosourcing Forum at the Blue Tree Hotel, an event attended by more than 40 CXOs and key decision makers.
