Kochi, April 4

Mr J.K. Thomas, Managing Director, Malankara Plantations Ltd, was elected as Vice-Chairman of the Tea Board of India for this year at its meeting held on March 17. He is also the President of the United Planters' Association of Southern India and Vice-Chairman of the Tea Trade Association of Cochin.
