Kochi April 6 The Mercantile Marine Department, Kochi, has been declared the examination centre for conducting examinations under the Merchant Shipping Examination Rules 2000.

Mr Ajoy Chaterjee, Chief Surveyor and Additional Director-General of Shipping, made this announcement while speaking at the meeting as part of the concluding function of the 44th National Maritime Day Celebrations..
