Hyderabad April 7 Ofen (oven in German), which turned a Swiss Army mobile baking wagon into an eco-friendly kitchen, has announced plans to open similar kitchens in Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh. In Hyderabad, it would open five more stores. The Bangalore outlet will be opened in October.

Swiss Bakerie and Patisserie Pvt Ltd, the city-based company that promotes the Ofen brand kitchens, would acquire some more baking wagons from Switzerland, which is disposing of the wagons to make way for upgradation.

FIRST COMPANY

"We are the first company to acquire one such wagon in the entire Asia," Ms Mukti Bosco, Managing Director, said, addressing a press conference here on Saturday.

Besides the wagons, the company also brought in salads, sandwiches and bakery items from several European countries. The company opened its second outlet in Hyderabad through franchisee route.
