The ICAR has sanctioned Rs 1.6 crore under the National Agricultural Innovation Project to the TNAU and under this programme, all the State and Central agricultural universities will follow the e-lessons developed by the TNAU for B.Sc (agriculture) course through a centralised national server, according to a press release from the TNAU.

The TNAU said that the ICAR has sanctioned Rs 9 crore for modernisation of education system and programmes, and this grant is meant to both channelise the TNAU's expertise in e-teachings and also strengthen the university's own academic infrastructure.
