Land and water ownership

This refers to "Lifting Bharat out of economic quagmire" (Business Line, March 30). In view of competing demand for land and water it is necessary to establish a Land and Water Reforms Commission .

Besides, the company acquiring land must make the farmer selling the land its shareholder and the State Government and the company must develop the surrounding areas.
