Lenovo picks Sasken tool

Lenovo's Mobile Communication Technology Ltd, a subsidiary of Lenovo Group has chosen Sasken's Application Framework to develop mobile phones. In a release issued on Monday, Bangalore-based telecom firm Sasken announced that its application framework has now been integrated onto the Lenovo mobile phone platforms based on TI's LoCosto and OMAP-Vox chips.

The Sasken Application Framework offers a highly advanced solution for rich media phones with features such as video record and play, audio-video streaming, Bluetooth stereo headsets, touchpad with handwriting recognition, as well as messaging solutions and HTML browser, among other features.
