New Business Jyoti bags order from IVRCL Infra Our Bureau
Ahmedabad April 10 Jyoti Ltd, a Vadodara-based engineering company, has secured an order for lift irrigation scheme from IVRCL Infrastructure Ltd, Hyderabad, for Rs 56 crore for design, manufacture and supply of 25 large pumps in Kurnool and Anantapur districts of Andhra Pradesh. The project envisages lifting of water through eight pumping stations, to a distance of about 175 km with total lift of about 203.8 metres. The project is designed for pumping of 109 cusecs of water (9,435 million litres per day), for irrigating six lakh acres of land. On commissioning, this project will provide immediate relief to perennial drought-prone areas of the two districts, the company said in a release here on Tuesday. The company, which has capability to manufacture large rating pumps, motors, hydro-generators and medium voltage switchgears, would manufacture and supply these pumps with its in-house design capabilities and infrastructure. It currently has orders worth Rs 450 crore.
