IOB hikes prime lending rate

Chennai, April 10

Indian Overseas Bank has increased its benchmark prime lending rate (BPLR) to 13.25 per cent from 12.50 per cent with effect from April 9, according to a press release. However, existing/fresh individual educational and housing loans have been exempt from this hike in BPLR, the release said.
