Alleviating poverty

No programme for removal of poverty can succeed in an economy plagued by inflation and spiralling prices of essential commodities.

The Government boasts of 9 per cent growth but inflation still looms large. Inflation eats into the country's growth and has worsened the economic condition of the poorer classes.
