SEBI in pact with Taiwan, Indonesia regulators

Mumbai April 11 The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on Wednesday signed two more memorandums of understanding (MoU) with the securities regulatory authorities of Taiwan and Indonesia — the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) and the Indonesian Capital Market and Financial Institutions Supervisory Agency (BAPEPAM - LK) respectively — at the 32nd IOSCO Conference.

The MoUs will help in regulatory cooperation, mutual assistance and sharing of information.

The MoU with FSC, Taiwan was signed by Mr M. Damodaran, Chairman, SEBI and Mr Sheng-Cheng Hu, Chairman, FSC, Taiwan while the MoU with BAPEPAM-LK was signed by the SEBI Chairman and Dr A. Fuad Rahmany, Chairman, BAPEPAM-LK.

Meanwhile, the BSE signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Taiwan Stock Exchange to share information.
