The Hindu Business Line : HP unveils multi-function office printer

Hyderabad April 12 Hewlett-Packard has announced the launch of a family of printers for both home and office users that seek to change the way people put to use these colour printers for enhanced office-cum-home work productivity.

Apart from helping bring down cost of printing and improving the speed, these set of five Officepro Printer series are also capable of handling other tasks such as fax serving as all in one device.

They handle printing, fax, can scan and also offer copy functionality. The other big advantage is it can be connected to digital devices such as camera phones and, thereby, directly churn out colour prints.

The Country Business Manager, Imaging and Printing, Hewlett Packard India, Mr Ashwini K. Aggarwal, said that these range of versatile printers do a lot more than the current crop of laser printers offer, thereby help in overall productivity in office environment.

These printers work out about 50 per cent cheaper than laser printers and churn out about 35 pages per minute, with option of two sides printing against 12 pages in laser printers. These are priced starting at Rs 6,499 to Rs 16,999.

The company plans a multi-media ad blitz and has lined up a 100-city road shows.
