Coromandel ups stake in GFCL

Hyderabad, April 12

Coromandel Fertilisers Ltd, a Murugappa group company, has increased its stake in Godavari Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd (GFCL) from 45.07 per cent to 74.92 per cent (or 2.39 crore shares). The company acquired 4.85 per cent of shares (15.51 lakh shares) from GFCL through open offer. It acquired 80 lakh shares (amounting to 25 per cent) from IFFCO on Thursday, GFCL informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
