SonoSite plans training centre in Hyderabad

Hyderabad April 13 Sonosite Inc, a provider of hand-carried ultrasound equipment, is planning to set up an education and training centre here to provide technology training required for customers.

The US-based company will focus on education and training to handle its top-end equipment and create awareness, Mr Pavan Behl, Country Manager (India), SonoSite, told newspersons here on Friday.

As part of this, SonoSite is organising a two-day workshop on advanced regional anaesthesia and ultrasound in association with Axon Anaesthesia Associates at Care Hospitals here from Friday.

As there is growing interest in hand-carried high resolutions ultrasound, SonoSite will organise workshops across the country on a regular basis, Mr Pavan said.

The company sold about 100 hand-carried ultrasound systems in India last year, including 12 in Andhra Pradesh.
