CNN's new Executive V-P

CNN International has announced Mr Tony Maddox as its new Executive Vice-President and Managing Director. His new responsibilities will primarily consist of news and information, for a portfolio that includes five CNN services in English, its International and Arabic Web site and its joint ventures, including the one in India, CNN-IBN. Mr Maddox will be based at the networks headquarters in Atlanta and report to Mr Jim Walton, President, CNN, Worldwide. Mr Maddox was earlier responsible for operational and administrative oversight of CNN's 26 international bureaus. With nine years at CNN, Mr Maddox also has 13 years of journalism experience with the BBC.
