Pesticides Rallis India Q4 net trebles Our Bureau
Our Bureau Mumbai April 13 Rallis India Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 9.78 crore for the fourth quarter of 2006-2007; this is more than three times the net profit of Rs 3.07 crore reported for the corresponding year-ago quarter. The company attributed this profit growth to an improved product mix and an increase in overall margins from 45 per cent in Q4 of the previous fiscal to 50 per cent during the quarter under consideration. Total revenue for the quarter, at Rs 131.96 crore (Rs 119.4 crore), grew 10.5 per cent, while total expenditure rose 5.8 per cent, to Rs 118.94 crore (Rs 111.97 crore). For the fiscal ended March 31, 2007, the company's net profit reported a 36 per cent rise, to Rs 58.11 crore from Rs 42.53 crore. Total revenue rose 11.43 per cent, to Rs 702.75 crore. The board has recommended a dividend of 7.5 per cent to preference shareholders and a dividend of 90 per cent to equity shareholders.
