Cholayil entering film production, real estate biz

Chennai April 13 Cholayil Products and Services, headed by Mr A.V. Anoop, is planning big for the brand Sanjeevanam. The company has entered into a tie-up with Canada-based Kosmos Medical Tours Inc for expansion of the brand. "We are planning to take the brand in a big way with more domestic and global tie-ups very soon," Mr Anoop said.

The company is also set to foray into film production and real estate business in Chennai and Kerala to start with. "We have floated a separate company — AVA Productions — for our film production business," he told Business Line.

As far as the real estate business is concerned, tie-ups have been entered into with GT Housing Pvt Ltd and Continental Construction Ltd (CCL). The work on the first project with GT Housing — GT's Cholayil Residency — has already commenced in Chennai. "As per the agreement, we have given a part of our 7-acre land in Koyambedu and GT Housing will take care of the construction. The remaining part of the land will be developed by CCL," Mr Anoop said.
