Import backlog cleared at Delhi air cargo customs

Finance Ministry works out software glitch

New Delhi April 14 The Finance Ministry has said that import shipment clearance have been "normalised" at the Delhi Air Cargo customs from Friday after it deployed additional staff to resolve the software glitches and clear the backlog.

The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) also said that the issue of export shipment clearance have been almost sorted out and are expected to stabilise by Saturday.

Shipments were held up at the Delhi Air Cargo customs for the last week due to difficulties experienced by exporters and importers in filing their documents through ICEGATE.
