WEIGHING HEAVILY: Tea leaves being weighed at a plantation near Munnar in Kerala's Idukki district. Lack of pre-monsoon showers, increase in temperature and frost during night in the estates in the South are expected to affect production. Till February, production was 26.82 million kg, down 1.49 million kg compared with last year.
