New Delhi, April 16

Punj Lloyd Ltd (PLL) today said it has bagged a Rs 530-crore contract from Oman Gas Company for construction of pipelines on an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) basis in Oman. The contract would involve construction of 24-inch, 40-km pipeline from Murayat to Barka and a 32-inch, 252 km pipeline from Saih Rawl to Mukhaizna loopline with an optional scope of building of compression station at Nimr, Punj Lloyd said in a statement.

PLL said the project was expected to be completed by October 2008. With this, the order backlog for the PLL group on consolidated basis stood at Rs 17,568.40 crore, it said.
