Coimbatore April 17 `Chief executives forum', a special corporate event being planned in the city on April 20, will be presided over by the Tamil Nadu Rural Industries Minister, Mr Pongalur N. Palanisamy.

The forum being convened under the aegis of Coimbatore Development Ventures (CDV), a management consultancy firm, will also be attended by the Union Minister of State for Finance, Mr S.S. Palanimanickam.

The event is supported by a host of local industrial/trade bodies including the ICCI Coimbatore, The Southern India Mills Association, The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association, The Southern India Engineering Manufacturers Association, the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Coimbatore Management Association.

According to Mr S. Kannan, Director-CDV, leading companies including Airtel, Hewlett Packard, SAP, UPS Jetair Express, Cognizant Technologies, Nilgiris, Odyssey and IAB have come forward to sponsor the event.

The CEO forum is aimed at nurturing the investment climate for the region.
