Monumental neglect

KURUPAM TOMB, a heritage structure on the beach road in Visakhapatnam, stands neglected in the middle of the urban jungle on World Heritage Day on Wednesday. The monument, under control of the Visakha Urban Development Authority (VUDA), cries for attention. Three years ago, a half-hearted attempt was made to renovate it and then abandoned midway.
