HM case: Order today on Tata Motors' plea

Our Bureau

Kolkata April 18 Mr Justice Dipankar Datta of the Calcutta High Court will pass an order on Thursday regarding the application made by Tata Motors seeking the court's directive for removing the finished automobile accessories/spare parts which are manufactured at the factory of Hindustan Motors, based on orders from Tata Motors.

The Tata Motors counsel asked for the appointment of a Special Officer under whose supervision the finished products lying in HM's Uttarpara factory could be lifted. The State Government and HM have supported the request for the appointment of Special Officer. The counsel for the agitating employees, however, submitted that the existing order of the court was sufficient for removing the goods from the factory, hence there was no need for a Special Officer.
