LOWER PRICES: Sukhsagar - the local variety of onions - have flooded the Kolkata wholesale market. The districts of Nadia, Murshidabad, Malda and Pashim Dinajpur in West Bengal have had a bumper crop. The low prices, ranging from Rs 500-700 a quintal, have slowed down the arrivals from Nashik, Maharashtra.
