Tata AIG General offer to IT cos

Tata AIG General Insurance Company Ltd (Tata AIG General) has launched "General Insurance Version 2007" - a range of insurance solutions, customised for the needs of the IT and IT-enabled services (ITes) companies.

The package for the IT and ITes industry includes fire policies for offices with the provision of rent for alternate accommodation in the event of a fire, overseas mediclaim insurance, public liability policies and directors and officers policies (covering allegations of discrimination or unfair termination against the company). Employees can also opt for voluntary accident benefits cover for themselves and their families.

Mr Michael Carlin, Chief Operating Officer, Tata AIG General, said, "The Indian IT industry has achieved remarkable growth during the last two decades. This product is the result of extensive research and development and interaction with the IT industry." For IT and ITes companies, which are smaller in size, Tata AIG General Insurance has a modular policy for offices that provides a cover to companies of asset size below Rs 5 crore.
