Call rates close lower

Call closed lower at 9.50-10 per cent on Thursday against the previous close of 11-12 per cent. The RBI lent Rs 15,660 crore to banks through its repo window while banks parked Rs 70 crore under the reverse repo with the central bank. In the first one-day repo auction, the RBI received and accepted 19 bids for Rs 9,385 crore. There was no reverse repo bid in the first one-day auction. In the second one-day reverse repo auction, the RBI received and accepted two bids for Rs 70 crore. In the second one-day repo auction, the RBI received and accepted 15 bids for Rs 6,275 crore. The CBLO market saw 359 trades aggregating Rs 17,886.35 crore in the 7.50-8.10 per cent range.
