Tata to regain goods in HM factory

Our Legal Correspondent

Kolkata April 19 Mr Justice Dipankar Datta of Calcutta High Court on Thursday appointed joint special officers to remove the finished goods from the factory premises of Hindustan Motors Ltd at Uttarpara.

Earlier, Tata Motors had moved the Calcutta High Court seeking its intervention to regain possession of the goods from the Uttarpara factory.

"The Special officers have been directed to remove the materials from the factory with proper inventory, by taking police help if necessary," the court has said.

Tata Motors had placed orders on Hindustan Motors for manufacturing pneumatics but because of suspension of work following labour unrest at the Uttarpara factory, the materials could not be delivered.
